A predicted snowstorm for Saturday has caused Elementary Basketball League officials to notify teams, players and parents of contingency plans if the storm causes the need to postpone its annual tournament.
Organizers are planning to have the EBL championship games and Elementary Cheer Day as scheduled tonight and Saturday at Columbus East High School. In the event of a postponement of the basketball games due to weather, a message will be posted to the EBL website by 6:30 a.m. Saturday. If weather conditions worsen throughout Saturday morning and Cheer Day needs to be postponed, that message will be posted and announced by 10 a.m. on the website.

If either event is postponed, it will be rescheduled at Columbus North High School next weekend, officials said.
