Ali Patberg scored 15 points and led Indiana with six rebounds and nine assists Sunday to help lead the 25th-ranked Hoosiers to a 75-68 women’s basketball win at Wisconsin.
Patberg, a redshirt junior from Columbus North, went 6 of 12 from the field, including 1 of 4 from 3-point range, and 2 of 2 from the free-throw line. She added a steal in a team-high 35 minutes of action for Indiana (15-2, 4-1).
Jaelynn Penn scored 21 points to lead the Hoosiers, who scored a school-record 37 points in the first quarter in taking a 37-14 lead.
East graduate nets double figures in Franklin loss
Britney Ballard scored 11 points Saturday in Franklin College’s 69-66 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference loss at Earlham.
Ballard, a freshman from Columbus East, added a rebound, an assist and a blocked shot in a team-high 31 minutes for the Grizzlies (5-10, 3-5). Amy Weisner, a junior from North, had two points and two rebounds in 17 minutes for the Quakers (5-10, 3-5).
North graduate finishes 5-under in Sony Open
Tyler Duncan carded a final-round 71 Sunday to finish in a tie for 57th at 5-under-par 275 in the Sony Open in Hawaii.
Duncan, a 2008 North graduate, had was coming off back-to-back rounds of 66 Friday and Saturday at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu. He opened with a 72 on Thursday.
