• those for the wonderful response when I became ill Wednesday at a WW meeting.

• Susie and Anne for giving me aid and a ride home on Wednesday.

• Honeymoon Haulers for the wonderful work they did last Saturday on moving us.

• Emily and John Shrum for the Valentine chocolates and drink, from the crossing guard.

• the generous young couple who paid for our Valentine’s Day dinners and those of the McKinneys at the Corner Café on Thursday evening, from Ed and Barb Johnson.

• the city that accepted the baby box.

• all those who would stand up and protect our country and constitution from political declared national emergencies.

• Mike and Paula, for the dozen roses and pizza on Valentine’s Day, from Donna.

• the a Capella quartet that sang a beautiful love song on Valentine’s Day to three ladies at St. Peter’s.

• Leah at Mill Race Center for all her help on Medicare, from Barbara.

• Cummins Inc., former Mayor Kristen Brown and the other local businesses that brought us our wonderful recycling program.

• Candy Clancy for all her help on Medicare fraud, from Barbara.

• the woman at McDonald’s on U.S. 31 who complimented me on my coat I was wearing on a cold winter day, because it was nice to talk to a stranger.

• Collin, the Xfinity technician, who was very efficient and polite when he helped us straighten out a cable problem.

Onions to …

• people who keep their dogs in a crate at all times, except for the occasional potty break.

• those for the Rocky Ford bike lanes because you never see bicyclists using them.

• the gas stations raising gas prices every week.

• the person who tried to go around the water on Victory Drive and messed up the yard and hasn’t made contact to repair it.

• any president who doesn’t get what he wants from Congress and decides to call a national emergency.

• the red SUV that stole my parking spot on Washington Street.

• those responsible for approving the new restaurant to be built with fewer parking spaces than the current location.

• city officials for not accepting the baby box in Columbus.

• the shopping center for allowing the parking lot to deteriorate so that is damaging for people patronizing the businesses locating there.

• the top Democrat who doesn’t like walls.
