Legislators welcome Senate pages

Two state senators who represent portions of Bartholomew County recently welcomed students to the Statehouse who served as Senate pages in January and February.

Sen. Greg Walker, R-Columbus, welcomed:

Natalie Lewis, from Columbus, attends W.D. Richards Elementary School

Tyler Moore, from Columbus, attends Hauser Jr./Sr. High School

Caroline Swenson, from Columbus, attends Columbus North High School

Claire Swenson, from Columbus, attends Columbus North High School

Emma Swenson, from Columbus, attends St. Bartholomew Catholic School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor and interacting with their state senators.

Students in Grades 1 through 12 participate in the page program on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays during the legislative session. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
