Central students to attempt hopscotch world record

Central Middle School students will attempt to hop into the Guinness Book of World Records on May 28, weather-permitting.

About 900 Central students and 400 CSA Lincoln students were scheduled to participate in a friendly group hopscotch event on March 8, but cold temperatures and snow were in the weather forecast.

All 1,300 students will now play hopscotch simultaneously for 10 minutes on May 28 beginning around 1 p.m. The game will take place on Central’s track and green space area.

To donate supplies or volunteer for the event, email Alan Birkemeier at [email protected] or contact him at Central Middle School at (812) 376-4286.
