The Columbus Human Rights Commission has announced two local residents have been appointed to fill vacancies on the commission.
Columbus Mayor Jim Lienhoop administered oaths of office to Claudia Sanchez-Davila and Sondra Bolte on Monday.
Sanchez-Davila, the Latina Services case manager at Turning Point Domestic Violence Services, was appointed by the Columbus City Council to fill the unexpired term of Commissioner Tony McClendon, who died March 7. Her term will continue through March 31, 2021.
Bolte, a Cummins retiree, is taking the seat previously held by Commissioner Ian Kohen, who served on the commission for 15 years. That term will expire on March 31, 2022.
