Today is a free fishing day

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is offering its second free fishing day of the year today, one of four the state offers to local residents.

On free fishing days, Indiana residents may fish public waters without a fishing license or salmon/trout stamp. The DNR has the days to encourage families to learn to fish together. Children age 17 and younger are allowed to fish without a license at all times.
