SEYMOUR — The annual Take a Kid Fishing event at Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge will be 8 a.m. to noon June 1.
This year, the focus is “how to fish.” Refuge staff and volunteers will show new anglers the basics of fishing with equipment provided.
In addition to the instruction, there will be fishing games and a fish craft. Poles, bait and tackle will be loaned to participants.
June 1 is a free fishing day in Indiana and no one will need a fishing license.
The refuge is located at 12985 E. U.S. Highway 50.
