Around Town – May 31

Orchids to …

• Tim at Edinburgh Transmissions for his expert check and honest advice on what needs to be done (or not to be done) on the transmission of my 1994 Chevy pickup truck.

• Lisa Zwanzig for the most beautiful knockout roses around ZwanzigZ Pizza — outstanding landscaping for the greatest pizza restaurant and for the nicest landscaping of any restaurant in town.

• Holly, at Southern Indiana Nephrology, for being so kind and helpful to me.

• Robert Mueller for stating: “If we had confidence the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so,” thereby removing any claim that the Mueller Report exonerated Trump.

• Debbie Clark in the prosecutor’s office for the beautiful calendar she made me for my desk, from Lisa.

• Justin Amash, the first GOP congressman with the integrity and courage to call for President Donald Trump’s impeachment.

• Lee Hamilton for reminding us what kind of politicians we need in Washington.

• Billie Ebenkamp, the best neighbor in the history of neighbors, for all she does.

• Ashlynn Dunham, for doing such an awesome job in fifth grade at Hope Elementary School, from Pappy.

• Bailey Yeager at Centra Credit Union for helping me with my Regulation B questions, from Sam.

Onions to …

• House Democrats who are destroying this country more and more each and every day.

• the president that made a fool of America on the world stage

• Democrats, who need to quit talking about it, and do it.

• this president, who didn’t have time to be interviewed in person by the Mueller crew but had plenty of time for tweeting and other endeavors.

• the volunteer fire department that doesn’t maintain its property.

• the person in the brown car with all the stickers on the back window who pulled out in front of me on Everroad Park West.

• the elected officials who do not want to allow a church to remove houses for parking yet are going to allow a corn patch right across the street from that church.

• the county for not including County Road 675W in the overlay program.

• those who think pro-lifers should be financially responsible for the poor decisions made by others.

• the recreational cyclist who ran a light at the Second/State/Central intersection and slowed traffic on Central rather than using the People Trail.
