COLUMBUS, Ind. — The firm selected to help the city define the future of the FairOaks Mall, Donner Center and surrounding areas held the first public-input session for the project in front of a packed house.

Approximately 220 people attended the session Thursday evening in the former J. Nicole Store space at FairOaks Mall, which was led by representatives from the firm, MKSK, and one of its subconsultants, Perkins+Will. City officials brought in additional seating and an industrial-sized fan to accommodate the larger-than-anticipated crowd.
The session featured five interactive stations designed to elicit input from the audience, and a 45-minute presentation that covered the overall scope of the project and the approach the firm and its subconsultants will take.
