Jennings deputies arrest two Elizabethtown residents on drug-related charges

JENNINGS COUNTY — Jennings County Sheriff deputies have arrested two people on drug-related charges after attempting to serve a parole warrant.

Deputies received information on Monday that Charles Plumm, 43, Elizabethtown, who was being sought on an active parole warrant, was at his residence on County Road 800N in Jennings County, said Jennings County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Dave Turner.

When deputies prepared to serve the warrant, they learned Plumm had left his home and was traveling east on County Road 800N.

Deputy Craig Hahn located the vehicle and stopped it in the area of County Road 950N and State Road 7, Turner said. Plumm was arrested on the warrant, and with further investigation, deputies found narcotics and paraphernalia in the vehicle, leading to the arrest of a passenger, Kelly Williams, 30, Elizabethtown, Turner said.

Plumm and Williams are each facing preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a legend drug and maintaining a common nuisance, Turner said.
