Court dates for a former Rockcreek Township trustee charged with official misconduct have been tentatively scheduled for early this fall.
A change of plea hearing for David Buzzard, 51, is now set for 10 a.m. Sept. 30 in Bartholomew Circuit Court.
Pending that hearing, a jury trial is set for 8:30 a.m. Oct. 29 before Judge Kelly Benjamin.
Townships in Indiana have a variety of funds that are intended to pay expenses for rural fire departments, poor relief, cemetery maintenance, parks and other services. Buzzard became the fifth township Bartholomew County official to be investigated for alleged wrongdoing in recent years.
