Columbus Indiana Philharmonic is canceling its 20th Anniversary Salute! concert, scheduled for Friday, May 22.
In an email from Mark Pillar, on the board of directors for the Philharmonic, Pillar wrote that
Artistic Director and Conductor David Bowden, the musicians, the Salute! committee, and the entire community have eagerly anticipated this special tribute to our veterans for the past 19 years. Words cannot adequately express our disappointment with the necessity of cancelling the concert, Pillar wrote.

Although the gathering will not occur, the Philharmonic is asking the community to honor and remember the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for the nation by donating to Stand Up and Support Salute, which will be acknowledged in the annual program during Memorial Day weekend.

To make a donation in honor or memory of someone who served or is serving our country, visit https://thecip.secure.force.com/donate/?dfId=a0n3m000015cZ7sAAE to fill out the form and make a donation or email [email protected].
