BCSC continues free meals, partners for books and more for kids

Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. is continuing its free meals with a Summer Food Service Program.

Free meals will be made available to all children 18 years of age and younger and to persons over 18 years who are enrolled in a state-approved educational program for the mentally or physically disabled.

BCSC will partner with the Bartholomew County Public Library for “book express free book distribution” and with kidscommons and the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department to provide free activity packets for children to take home.

Meals will be provided at a first come, first served basis through June 31 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the following sites:

Clifty Creek Elementary School

Schmitt Elementary School

Smith Elementary School

Taylorsville Elementary School

Meals will also be available, via BCSC school buses, at the following locations from noon to 1 p.m. within the county:

Administration Building, corner of 12th Street and Cottage Avenue

Central Middle School Parking Lot (by library)

Water’s Edge Apartments

Southside Elementary School Parking Lot

Foundation For Youth

Columbus East High School Parking Lot (by football field)

Elizabethtown Library Parking Lot

Pence Apartments

Heritage Heights Addition (just north of main office)

Candlelight Village

Driftside Park

Cambridge Square Apartments

Mt. Healthy Elementary School Parking Lot
