PERCEPTIONS YOGA, MINDFULNESS AND ART GALLERY, 139 E. US, IN-3, Vernon. Through July 31, the gallery space will be filled with work from local artist, Marilyn Wathen. Her art show, which she calls “River Life,” is a reflection of life in Jennings County and more specifically, the Muscatatuck River. Her art includes bird and barn paintings as well as driftwood art. On July 10 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. there will be a “Create a Driftwood Sailboat” workshop. Seating is limited, so sign up early to get a seat at this event. The cost is $40 per participant, which includes all supplies and instruction. On Friday, July 24 at 6 p.m. a local bird expert, Joe Robb will give a talk about endangered and threatened birds in Indiana.
