RICHMOND — Rep. Greg Pence was not injured in a minor two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Richmond.

Police said Pence was riding in a Ford van on U.S. 27, just before 2:30 p.m., when a Jeep Compass pulled in front of the vehicle. Police said the Jeep driver was at fault and complained of a minor injury, but was not transported to the hospital.

Two staff members were also in Pence’s vehicle, according to the congressman’s Deputy Chief of Staff Ryan Jarmula.

Jarmula said that three were meeting with people and businesses in Richmond, which is a part of Indiana’s Sixth Congressional District, and that Pence will be in Washington D.C. today to vote on a bill to fund the U.S. Postal Service.
