County documentary at YES Cinema

Organizers are encouraging residents to catch one last chance to see the Bartholomew County documentary “It Began With Bartholomew” for free on the big screen at YES Cinema, 328 Jackson St. The film showcases the history and heritage that connects the area’s various segments and populations.

Each of the five sections of the film focuses on a different region of the county.

Donations are being accepted. Masks will be required. YES Cinema concessions available for purchase.

The film was planned and organized by The Bartholomew County Historical Society and The Bartholomew County Public Library working alongside a Terre Haute production company.

Here are the showtimes:

  • 6:30 p.m. today: Parts 3, 4, and 5. Limited to 100 viewers.
  • 10 a.m. Saturday: Parts, 3, 4, and 5. Limited to 100 viewers.

A two-set DVD of all five sections is available for purchase at the Bartholomew County Historical Society Museum, 524 Third St. DVDs are a $25 minimum donation. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday – Thursday.
