INDIANAPOLIS — Todd Hurst is the new executive director for the Institute for Workforce Excellence, an affiliate program of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.

Hurst holds a Ph.D. in educational studies from the University of Kentucky, as well as a Master of Arts in curriculum and instruction from the University of Indianapolis and an undergraduate degree from Ball State University. Most recently, he served as a senior consultant for the Indianapolis-based consulting firm, Resultant, where he led workforce strategy development and program oversight for the organization’s public sector clients.

In his new role, Hurst will provide management and operational leadership for each of the institute’s supported programs and initiatives, including Work and Learn Indiana (formerly Indiana INTERNet).

Hurst will also oversee the new Talent Resource Navigator – a web-based tool that will be unveiled statewide early next year. The navigator will be available to anyone with an interest in maximizing the potential of individuals in Indiana’s workforce, helping guide and connect its users to vetted partners, best practices and programs tailored to meet specific workforce needs.
