Bloomington-based Mother Bear’s Pizza will open a location in Columbus’ NexusPark, Veritas Realty announced Monday.
Mother Bear’s offers a family-friendly dining environment and has been a favorite of Indiana University students and alumni since opening in 1973 near the Bloomington campus. A second location was opened on Bloomington’s west side in November of 2016. The NexusPark location is expected to open in March.
Current IU Students and Alumni recognize Mother Bear’s for its award-winning pizza. In 1982, People Magazine selected Mother Bear’s as “one of America’s top nine pizzas”. The restaurant also offer wings, salad and pasta dishes.
Mother Bear’s Pizza will occupy 9,015 square feet of space and will be located next to Riviera Maya Mexican Restaurant in NexusPark, which is under construction at the site of the former FairOaks Mall.
