INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — An Indiana state lawmaker isn’t facing any immediate legislative discipline after pleading guilty to drunken driving charges for crashing his pickup truck through an interstate highway guardrail and driving away.

Columbus City Council has approved the second reading of an ordinance appropriating about $3.7 million from various funds, including about $2 million for trail projects and a little under $1 million for overlay work.

The following closings have been announced for Monday for the federal observance of Juneteenth.

  • Columbus city offices will be closed on Monday.
  • The Columbus Department of Public Works offices will be closed Monday, but all trash and recycling collections are on schedule with no delays. Offices open at 7 a.m. Tuesday. Visit columbus.in.gov/publicworks for more information.
  • The Columbus City Utilities office will be closed Monday, but will reopen Tuesday at 7 a.m. Customers with a problem with water or sewer service should call the business office at 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.
  • All Bartholomew County offices and the courthouse are closed Monday.
  • The Republic is observing regular business operating hours on Monday and will be publishing a paper that day. For circulation issues, call 379-5601 before 10 a.m.
