Lauren Barker is in a rare company of college athletes.

NOBLESVILLE — One day after knocking off Class 4A No. 3 Floyd Central, Columbus North upset another highly-ranked baseball team, pulling out a 6-3, eight-inning victory at 4A No. 4 Noblesville on Saturday.

HOPE — Sam Louden threw a five-inning no-hitter Saturday to lead Hauser to a 13-3 baseball win against Switzerland County.

Columbus North sent most of its top track and field athletes to the Pike Invitational on Saturday, while a group of other North boys and girls athletes swept the titles at Brown County’s Talon Relays.

INDIANAPOLIS — Kathryn Wilson had a chance to play the two girls she beat in the semifinals and finals in last year’s Girls Tennis Singles State Finals, once again, the Columbus North senior came up victorious against both in Saturday’s Park Tudor Invitational.

JASPER — Columbus East baseball. bounced back from an 11-1 loss to Jasper with a 9-8 win against Martinsville in the third-place game of Saturday’s Jasper Invitational.

INDIANAPOLIS — Hauser swept a pair softball games at Indianapolis Lutheran on Saturday, beating Edinburgh 13-3 and Lutheran 6-1.

GREENWOOD — Columbus North dropped a pair of softball games at Center Grove on Saturday, falling to Bedford North Lawrence 17-5 and Class 4A No. 8 Center Grove 19-1 in five innings.

The IU Columbus baseball and softball teams both dropped River States Conference doubleheaders on Saturday. The baseball team fell at IU Southeast , and the softball team lost at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods 7-0 and 5-0.

Columbus East dropped a softball doubleheader to Franklin on Saturday, falling 3-1 and 8-3.
