Police arrested 16 people on multiple criminal charges, including 10 felonies, during a shoplifting sting nicknamed “Operation Roll-Back” at Walmart.
The investigation and subsequent arrests happened inside and around Walmart, 735 Whitfield Drive, on Thursday, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
The effort was organized by officers from the Columbus Police Department’s Intelligence Led Policing Unit which is comprised of officers from CPD as well as a deputy from the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office. Also assisting in the operation were officers from the Columbus Police Department and Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office K-9 units as well as Walmart loss prevention security.

The following persons were arrested on the preliminary charges listed below during the investigation and taken for booking into the Bartholomew County Jail:
Anthony M. Brown, 27, of 2004 Newton St.: Dealing in a narcotic drug (Level 4 felony), possession of a legend drug (Level 6 felony), resisting law enforcement in a vehicle (Level 6 felony), possession of a controlled substance (Class A misdemeanor), possession of drug paraphernalia (Class C misdemeanor), held in lieu of $70,000 bond.
Jeffrey D. Johnson, 63, of 1026 Chestnut St.: Possession of methamphetamine (Level 5 felony), bond set at $65,000, released on program for qualifying defendants to be released from jail without posting bond.
James R. Bennett, 28, of 1017 Eighth St.: Possession of a syringe (Level 6 felony), possession of methamphetamine (Level 6 felony), resisting law enforcement in a vehicle (Level 6 felony), resisting law enforcement (Class A misdemeanor), held in lieu of $130,000 bond.
Christopher M. Allman, 36, Seymour: Possession of methamphetamine (Level 6 felony), possession of heroin (Level 6 felony), held in lieu of $115,000 bond.
Rose Mary Boling, 40, of 824 Sycamore St.: Possession of a syringe (Level 6 felony), possession of a controlled substance (Class A misdemeanor), held in lieu of $62,500 bond.
Jennifer N. Lenderman, 41, of 803 Hutchins Ave.: Driving while suspended with a prior conviction (Class A misdemeanor), released on $5,000 bond.
Gregory A. Ferrell, 41, 308 Jewell St.: Driving while suspended with a prior conviction (Class A misdemeanor), released on $60,000 bond.
Robert M. Faulkner, 23, of 5273 N. Lincoln Village Drive: Driving while suspended with a prior conviction (Class A misdemeanor), released on $5,000 bond.
Shannon Crouch, 48, Columbus: Theft (Class A misdemeanor).
Richa J. Gordon, 52, of 905 Sycamore St.: Theft (Class A misdemeanor), bond set at $7,500, released on program for qualifying defendants to be released from jail without posting bond.
Carrie M. McGeorge, 45, Columbus: Theft (Class A misdemeanor).
Derek M. Weddle, 31, of 2830 12th St.: Theft (Class A misdemeanor), criminal trespass (Class A misdemeanor), held in lieu of $250 bond.
Jerry A. Williamson Jr., 35, of 5141 N. Willa Way: Criminal mischief (Class B misdemeanor), released on $5,000 bond.
Hoyt L. Chambers Jr. 48, Scipio: Operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license (Class C misdemeanor), held in lieu of $2,000 bond.
Tyler A. Small, 30, of 1904 Keller Ave.: Bartholomew County warrant, held in lieu of $1,000 bond.
Brandon J. Ramos, 33, Indianapolis: Bartholomew County warrant, held in lieu of $405 bond.
