Among the closings and cancellations:

  • Bartholomew County offices are closed and the County Commissioners meeting Monday has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Commissioners Chambers, Governmental Office Building, 440 Third St.
  • Columbus city offices are closed, including Columbus City Utilities. Trash routes will run one day late all week, with normal Friday routes having trash picked up on Saturday.
  • Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District offices are closed, including the Columbus Recycling Center and Bartholomew County Landfill.

Also, all Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles license branches will be closed Saturday through Monday in observance of Memorial Day. The Columbus branch, located at 745 Schnier St., will reopen Tuesday.
