HARTFORD, Connecticut - The top Connecticut Senate Republican and a potential gubernatorial rival questioned Wednesday whether Gov. Dannel P. Malloy violated any ethics law by letting People magazine pay for his trip to the White House Correspondents' Association dinner, prompting Malloy's office to seek an advisory opinion from the state ethics panel.
