Ellen Wright, 69, of Nashville, died at 6 a.m. Sunday, February 6, 2011, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Mrs. Wright attended Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bloomington. A 1963 graduate of Purdue University School of Pharmacy, she had been a pharmacist at Doctors Park Pharmacy for more than 30 years.
She was born February 16, 1941, in Kokomo, Indiana, the daughter of Raymond Warner and Margaret Elizabeth Matchette Knote. She married Blaine Wright March 30, 1963, in Jerome, Indiana.
Survivors include her husband; children, John (Abby) Wright of Columbus and Dan (Kasey) Wright of Nashville, IN; a brother, Dr. John (Jan) Knote of Lafayette, Indiana; sisters, Rebecca (Bob) Jarrett of Greentown and Nancy (Herb) Brown of Nashville, IN; grandsons, Gavin Wright of Columbus and Cole Wright of Nashville, IN; and her mother-in-law, Margaret Wright of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike, with Tom Ellsworth officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to service time on Thursday. Burial will be at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greentown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the IU Simon Cancer Center, 1030 West Michigan Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202; or Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
