Lessie M. “Mommy” Wagner, 93, of Central Avenue, died at 7:15 a.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Lessie was a homemaker and was employed at Arvin Industries during World War II. She was a member of Lowell General Baptist Church.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Revs. Glenn Poynter and Allan Straub and Dr. Roger Wagner officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Willow Crossing Health and Rehabilitation Center Activities Fund or the American Cancer Society.

Lessie was born in Columbus, December 6, 1916, the daughter of Robert and Laura Brock Bingham. She married Dee Wagner November 7, 1936. He preceded her in death July 4, 1972.
Survivors include her sons, Roger (Mary) Wagner of Tennessee, Jerry (Shirley) Wagner of Elizabethtown, Terry (Laura D.) Wagner and Johnnie Wagner, both of Columbus; daughters, Laura Sue Wagner of North Vernon, Charlotte (Allan) Straub of Brown County and Patricia Aldridge of Columbus; grandchildren, Cheryl Denney, Lisa Steuver, Kim Castetter, Brian Straub, Jason Wagner, Keith Wagner, Chris Wagner, Shannon Combs, Tim Wagner, Jeremy Aldridge, Peggy Jo Bullick, John David Wagner and Bill Wagner; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Vernon Wagner; daughters, Shirley Wagner and Louise Wagner; brothers, Zack, Sylvester and Merly Bingham; and sisters, Frances Strong, Mildred Togood and Novella Miller.
