LONDON - The force of "Gravity" was strong at the British Academy Film Awards on Sunday - but it was unflinching drama "12 Years a Slave" that took the top prize.
NEW YORK - There was a wall that oozed chocolate, a streaker on the runway, a gallery turned into a freaky fashion cathedral, an entire armory outfitted with fake puffy clouds, and so much snow - REAL snow - that even dedicated fashionistas traded in stilettos for boots. (Well, SOME fashionistas.)
NEW YORK - Those who come to fashion shows purely for the celebrity factor would not have been disappointed Sunday morning at Victoria Beckham's runway show, where they got to see soccer great David Beckham, accompanied by their four impeccably groomed children, snap selfies of himself and his toddler daughter while waiting for Mom's big moment.
NEW YORK - Diversity on the runway is only part of the race problem in fashion, said Tracy Reese. There's plenty to be done behind the scenes as well, she said.
