DAKAR, Senegal - Gambia's president said that he wants to implement a policy change that would shift the country's language from English to a local language.
JUNEAU, Alaska - Amid cheers and clapping from spectators in a packed room, the House Community and Regional Affairs Committee advanced a bill symbolically making 20 Alaska Native languages official languages of the state along with English.
HONOLULU - Even though Hawaiian is one of the official languages of the state, Hawaii residents won't be able to take driver's license exams in the language until next month.
