    • not seeing the 18-inch grass-covered sunken base of the “Modern Totem” will be a safety hazard waiting for someone to fall into.
    • people who think because they are people of faith, they can judge those they feel are less than them in the eyes of God.
    • giving me a rusted upside-down tree to look at every morning from my apartment window.
    • pastors who don’t practice what they preach.
    • The Republic for not publishing a nice color photo of the fair queen and her court on the front page.
    • drivers who don’t understand that when the traffic light turns red it really means you must stop.
    • The Republic for printing only what they want to print and not the truth.
    • whoever is responsible for changing the timing at the stoplight at 25th and Taylor.
    • people who don’t realize you can’t have a night ride during the day.
    • those who think the sculptures around town are art.
    • the city for allowing restaurants to have tables and chairs on the sidewalks downtown leaving no room to walk.
    • the gas station on west side for excessive price gouging of interstate traffic.
    • the newspaper for allowing so much publicity on same-sex marriage.
    • fair organizers for starting the fair on the 4th of July weekend, taking away the celebration of the holiday.
    • city workers for the sloppy job of removing dead trees on Caldwell Place.
    • the county commissioners and building and zoning for not completely removing a meth house that has burned twice and is still standing after seven years in Jewell Village.
    • local gas stations for jacking up gas prices just in time for the long holiday weekend.
