• fire inspectors from Koorsen's for being knowledgeable and helpful, from management at J.L. Pharma Tech in Seymour.

• Doug Tishner for fixing the four motor mounts on my wife's car, from Michael Robinette.

• impatient driver of the van with a small child in the front seat on South U.S. 31 Tuesday morning for tailgating, speeding and passing cars when there was oncoming traffic.

• yet another downtown project that has no real purpose.

• people who can look you in the eyes and lie.

• people new to Columbus who don't understand servers make their living on tips.

• anyone who does not recognize and give credit to Kristen Brown for saving us millions of dollars for ambulance service subsidies.

• The Republic for not considering an attack on the U.S. embassy on the Sept. 11 anniversary worthy of front-page coverage.

• people who don't realize that all Orchids and Onions are opinions.

• The Republic for poor coverage of area bowling scores.
