‘British Infusion 2014’ resets music from ’60s

Follow The Republic:

It is hard to believe half a century has passed since the British invasion.

But “British Infusion 2014” on Aug. 2 at Columbus Mill Race Center is designed to make attendees twist and shout over The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, The Who, The Kinks and others. The event serves as a fundraiser for the nonprofit center for the 50-plus set and for the nonprofit Just Friends Adult Day Services.

Tickets are $100, including $25 in gaming chips. Bistro 310 is serving food and drinks.

Indianapolis’ The Late Show Band will perform cover tunes of the ‘60s British groups. Lead singer Mark Moran recently explained that the songs are more than just a part of their set list.

“We all saw The Beatles on Ed Sullivan, and that was it,” he said. “Our lives were changed forever.”
