Organizers of “A Night With Duck Dynasty” on Aug. 23 at the Columbus North High School gym said they knew south central Indiana residents would show interest and support for the event.

“Quite honestly, we expected it to be big,” said Columbus’ David Gregory, one of the owners of the local Blank Slate Productions presenting the event. “We were stunned by actually how big.”

Blank Slate sold slightly more than 2,000 of its 7,000 tickets Wednesday, the first day they were available. Sales have continued since, Gregory said.

Cast members Si Robertson, known for his homespun humor and straightforward opinions, along with married couple Willie and Korie Robertson, will speak for about 45 minutes about their A&E reality television show, “Duck Dynasty,” and also their Louisiana-based Duck Commander duck call business, along with comments about their Christian faith.

They also will participate in a 45-minute question-and-answer session, responding to queries submitted through Blank Slate’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Information and tickets, ranging in price from $25 to $55: 812-343-9762 or blankslatepro.org.
