Follow The Republic:

A 2-year-old Columbus girl was found unresponsive in a pool at 5162 Willa Way at about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department.

Jazzilyn Jenkins was airlifted to Riley Hospital for Children after family members, neighbors and emergency medical personnel performed CPR, Maj. Todd Noblitt, sheriff's department spokesman said.

She is listed in critical condition at Riley, according to officials there.

Investigators do not know how the child got into the pool or how long she had been there when she was found by relatives, Noblitt said.
