3 arrested in connection with theft from state police car

COLUMBUS, Ind. — Three Columbus residents have been arrested in connection with the theft of items from an undercover state policeman's vehicle, including a weapon, an Indiana State Police media release said.

Dustin Tays, 23, 1513 Laurel Drive; Robert W. Remboske, 33, 626 Hutchins Ave.; and Ryan Melloh, 25, 737 1/2 Cottage Ave., are incarcerated at Bartholomew County Jail.

The state police said that between 11 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday, an undercover Indiana State Police vehicle in Bartholomew County had been broken into, and a .45 caliber Glock Model 21 handgun, two additional and fully loaded magazines and other law enforcement related items had been stolen.
