3 local organizations get Riley foundation grants

Riley Children’s Foundation, the fundraising organization supporting Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health, has granted $8,000 to family-focused initiatives in the Columbus area.

Foundation For Youth received $3,000 to help fund the Youth Fitness Club. The club provides year-round activities to achieve wellness and includes offering programs in schools and neighborhoods.


Columbus Park Foundation received $2,500 for its Come Out & Play Playground Program. The program is a free, supervised playground program hosted at sites around the city offering organized activities for children.

The kidscommons in downtown Columbus received $2,500 to provide outreach to third-grade students in Bartholomew County to allow more children access to the museum’s programs. The money will be used to offer “Investigating the Science of Lasers” at kidscommons.
