COLUMBUS, Ind. — The arrests of three men accused of driving while intoxicated in a span of less than 12 hours has prompted police to encourage motorists to drive responsibly and avoid getting behind the wheel after drinking alcoholic beverages.
One of the motorists arrested Wednesday was soaking wet in his car. Another drove around an officer standing in the middle of a downtown Columbus street commanding him to stop. The third driver "laughed uncontrollably" after being stopped and fell asleep while being taken to the police station, authorities said.
