4 admit guilt in massage-parlor tax evasion

Three women and one man accused of operating a pair of spas in Columbus that provided sexual favors for $200 or less have pleaded guilty to misdemeanor tax-evasion charges. The high-profile criminal case led to passage of a tougher city ordinance last year on massage parlors.

None of the four, three of whom are natives of China living in the United States via green cards, will serve time in prison as long as they adhere to one-year probation agreements handed down by Bartholomew County Circuit Court Judge Stephen Heimann on Thursday.
