NORTH VERNON, Ind. — An anonymous tip led to the discovery and seizure of 99 marijuana plants in Jennings County, according to an Indiana State Police media release.
At approximately 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Indiana State Police troopers and Jennings County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 4465 N. County Road 300W in Jennings County and found the marijuana plants growing behind the building, an old school house where 42-year-old Scott Smith of North Vernon operates a taxidermy business.
The plants were photographed, seized and destroyed. Smith wasn't arrested, but criminal charges are pending, the ISP release said.
