At approximately 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Indiana State Police troopers and Jennings County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 4465 N. County Road 300W in Jennings County and found the marijuana plants growing behind the building, an old school house where 42-year-old Scott Smith of North Vernon operates a taxidermy business.

The plants were photographed, seized and destroyed. Smith wasn't arrested, but criminal charges are pending, the ISP release said.
