A Bartholomew County teen was injured after the all-terrain vehicle she was driving crashed during the weekend, police said.
Taylor Clark, 16, suffered cuts and bruises to her arms and upper body during the 1:06 p.m. accident Sunday, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
Clark was riding a friend’s ATV in a pasture near County Road 250 East, less than a mile north of East State Street, when she crashed into a farm fence, the release stated.
She was not wearing a helmet or other protective clothing, according to the DNR. The teen was treated and later released from Columbus Regional Hospital Sunday, said CRH spokeswoman Denise Glessing.
The accident remains under investigation by Indiana Conservation Officer Jay Noble, who was assisted at the scene by Elizabethtown volunteer firefighters and deputies from the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department.
