Northside Middle School will hold two additional girls basketball open gyms from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday and Oct. 20. They are open to all middle school girls, regardless of school.

Hamilton Center to host

ice skating, hockey lessons

Registration is under way for the Fall 2 session of group ice skating and hockey lessons at Hamilton Center Ice Arena. Classes begin the week of Oct. 22 for ages 4 and up.

Indiana Youth Flag football registration still available

Indiana Youth Flag Football is still taking registrations for its upcoming fall season for boys and girls ages 4 to 12. Games will be played on Sunday afternoons at Clifty Creek Park.

Bev Coleman 5K run/walk

scheduled for Oct. 28

The Bev Coleman 5K Run/Walk will be at 3 p.m. Oct. 28 at Sandy Hook United Methodist Church. Registration will begin at 2 p.m. and is available online at signmeup/86876.

Cost is $20 before Oct. 15 and includes a $5 Subway gift card, or $25 after Oct. 15, with proceeds benefiting the youth ministries of Sandy Hook United Methodist. Awards will be given to the top two places in 11 men’s and women’s age groups.

North Volleyball Club to

hold informational meetings

The Columbus North Volleyball Club will hold parent/player informational meetings at 4 p.m. Oct. 28 and 7 p.m. Oct. 30 at the North High School gym for girls in grades 4 to 8. All interested players and their parents should attend one of the meetings. Tryouts will be Nov. 11-12 and 14.

Tennis league being formed

Weekly singles matches will be played tentatively at 6 p.m. Wednesdays at the Richards Elementary School tennis courts for anyone interested. Very informal.

East, Hauser sports passes on sale

Columbus East football season tickets and all-sports passes are available in the athletic office during school hours. Costs are $15 for a football season ticket, $200 for an all-sports family pass, $80 for an adult pass, $50 for a senior citizen pass and $40 for a BCSC student pass.

Hauser all-sports passes are on sale in the athletic office and at all home contests. Costs are $80 for adults, $70 for students, $60 for adults 60 to 80 and $30 for adults 80 and over.

Ceraland to host fall fast-pitch softball leagues

Ceraland will host five fall fast-pitch softball leagues. The divisions will be 8-and-under (coaches pitch), 10U, 12U, 14U and high scwhool. Cost is $35 per individual or $350 per team.
