Alleged violence leads to North Vernon's man arrest

NORTH VERNON, Ind. — A North Vernon man has been arrested following a fight among roommates.

Rickey Viles Jr., 20, North Vernon, faces a felony charge of strangulation as well as misdemeanor charges of battery and intimidation.

The North Vernon Police Department responded to the fight in the 300 block of S. Gum Street at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. The incident allegedly occurred in the presence of a minor.
