Applications accepted for holiday program

The Salvation Army will accept applications for this year’s Angel Tree program through Nov. 15.

Individuals may sign up at the Salvation Army at 2525 Illinois Ave. from 9 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Applicants to the Christmas assistance program, which provides underprivileged children with holiday presents, must bring a photo ID of all of those living within the household (driver’s license, birth certificate, medical card, or school ID) and proof of address.
