Apply for $1,000 Ed Fest scholarships

The deadline is 5 p.m. Friday for students to apply for any of six $1,000 scholarships that will be announced at the Community Ed Fest.
Students can apply by entering a 500-word essay or three-minute YouTube video about why they want to attend college in Columbus.

Community Ed Fest is a first-time event intended to make people aware of higher-education offerings in Columbus. It will be 5:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25 on the Campus Quad, behind Columbus Learning Center.
Everyone from high school students to parents and their children to working adults are invited to enjoy the festivities, which includes free parking, food, games, music and T-shirts. Door prizes include a computer tablet and an e-reader.
