COLUMBUS, Ind. — A weekend argument over milk led to a physical assault on an elderly Columbus man, police said.
Brian Sexton, 40, 1443 Sycamore St., was arrested on charges of strangulation and battery resulting in serious bodily injuries.
Officers were called to Sexton's home at 11:18 a.m. Saturday morning after police received a report that an assault had just taken place, according to Columbus Police Lt. Matt Myers.
When Patrolwoman Julie Quesenbery and Patrolman Troy Love arrived, Sexton said the argument he had with his 74-year-old uncle was only verbal. However, the officers saw a broken glass table and other evidence of a physical struggle, Myers said.
