COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Columbus Area Arts Council received a $25,000 award to reinstate the Columbus Indiana Sculpture Biennial, according to a media release.
The Efroymson Award for Excellence in Cultural Tourism Development was presented to Karen Shrode, executive director of the Arts Council, at the Midwest Cultural Tourism Conference Monday in Bloomington.
The submitted grant application states the Arts Council will bring eight to 10 new sculptures to Columbus on a biennial basis beginning in 2014.
