Sunday’s fifth annual Arts and Antiques Fair on the Square in Hope will feature artists, artisans and antique vendors selling wares ranging from paintings to furniture. Here are five things to know about the event, which is presented by the Hope Area Chamber of Commerce.
Shop from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Square in downtown Hope. Admission is free and so is parking.
More than 40 vendors include artisans, artists and antique sellers from Hope, Cincinnati, Elizabethtown, Shelbyville, North Vernon and other cities. Shoppers can expect to find intriguing home decor pieces, striking visual art including jewelry and one-of-a-kind antiques.
Visitors can see old techniques such as chair-caning and lace fabrication.
Sunday’s forecast calls for the possibility of rain, but it is a rain-or-shine outdoor event. Most vendors have canopies to protect their items from the elements. However, shoppers may want to bring an umbrella.
The Hope Chamber will be selling bottled water. Food will be available at restaurants on and off the Square, including Strawberry Fields Mercantile, Auntie Aimee’s Country Tea Room, El Jefe, Cornett’s Corner Cafe, Snappy Tomato Pizza and Subway.
