Available to play — for free — Sept. 28?
Mill Race Marathon organizers want to hear from you.
They are looking for volunteer musicians who would be willing to set up in designated neighborhoods that day along the 26.2-mile course.
This is separate from the downtown party the night before and after the marathon.
This is strictly to help create a fun, upbeat environment and encourage runners and walkers who might need a boost as they chug through the miles.
It also will help present a welcoming environment for many who will be visiting the city from around the country and world.
Musicians willing to volunteer can contact:
Mark Fear, 377-3493 or email@example.com
Greg Forbes, 377-5256 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Tina Corum, 377-2767 or email@example.com
