Birthing center hosting walk to honor lost infants

The Birthing Center at Columbus Regional Health is partnering with the community support group Angels of Hope for its annual “A Walk to Remember.”

The event will be Oct. 4 at Mill Race Park. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk begins at 10 a.m. from the River Vista Shelter House. A balloon release and reading of names also will be conducted.

For names to be included in the reading, preregistration by Sept. 20 is requested.

Angels of Hope is a nonprofit support group for families grieving the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death. The group meets from 6 to 8 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of each month at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
