An anti-apartheid leader who worked alongside late South African President Nelson Mandela will speak at the Annual William R. Laws Peacemaking Lecture at 4 p.m. May 3 at Columbus' North Christian Church, 850 Tipton Lane.

The Rev. Allan Boesak, 69, will follow his speech with a question-and-answer session and a public reception. The lecture series is part of the work of Columbus' First Presbyterian Church, where the now-late Rev. William R. Laws was a civil rights champion.

His speech title is, "The Bridge to Reconciliation, Social Justice and Global Peace From South Africa to Indiana."
