Volunteers at the 30th Annual Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser generated $92,700 during the recent gathering at Columbus Bowling Center.
But organizers still are urging supporters to help them reach the $100,000 goal for the event that supports mentoring relationships with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bartholomew County.
In fact, organizers hope to hit the goal by month’s end, according to Pica Saddler, who called the total so far amazing.
“But that ($100,000) would be even more amazing,” Saddler said. “Then again, this is Columbus, Indiana. Expect the unexpected.”
The agency also is seeking more volunteers to be matched with youngsters who need adult role models.
